Jack Calvar, President and CEO of Calvar and Associates, Inc., one of the most experienced and respected investigators in Miami-Dade County, Florida, has over 30 years experience as a law enforcement investigator with the State of Florida Office of the Attorney General, Medicaid Fraud Control Unit, and the City of Miami Police Department Homicide Unit.

  As a member of the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit, Major Case Squad and Statewide Intelligence Team, he was instrumental in discovering numerous schemes to defraud the Medicare and Medicaid program, maintained the highest arrest record in the State of Florida and has demonstrated experience in complex high profile investigations, data and financial analysis, intelligence gathering and task force operations. 

Jack Calvar was recruited to serve as the intelligence officer for the southern region of the State of Florida collecting and disseminating trends valuable in the investigation of healthcare fraud and coordinating with Federal, State, and local law enforcement, as well as private sector investigative units in identifying individuals and corporations committing fraud to the Medicaid program.  Maintain and update statewide database on matters relating to healthcare fraud.  Mr. Calvar work closely with Medicaid Program Integrity coordinating investigative initiatives relating to durable medical equipment companies, home health agencies, pharmacies and clinics.

As a member of the Homicide Unit, High Profile and Cold Case Team, he was tasked to investigate high profile cases and was a member of the police investigative shooting team.   

Jack Calvar is highly skilled in interviews and interrogation, hostage negotiations, money laundering, organized crime investigations and complex financial fraud investigations.  In addition to a Bachelor’s Degree from Barry University, Mr. Calvar has received numerous investigative related training courses and has taught seminars in healthcare fraud and money laundering operations by unscrupulous money transferers.  He was recognized as one of the ten best law enforcement officers in the nation, and has received many prestigious awards, including:
